My Own Struggles with Anxiety

Since I was a little kid, I have struggled with anxiety, typically based around my performance in school. One of the vivid memories that I hold is staying up late all night just because I couldn't deal with the fact that something negative might happen the next day. I have had panic attacks and meltdowns over my preparedness for tests and assessments. The stress of getting accepted into top universities is typically the driver behind it. Most people that I talk to feel that getting rejected from their top university choice will simply ruin their lives. My year level at school is mostly composed of students who are high achievers, students that will do whatever it takes to get the higher mark. This competition is another driver behind my anxiety. Anxiety is still something that sits with me today, and I still don't have the perfect strategies for resolving my worries. Dealing with chronic anxiety is even worse, as it hits you all the time, even during moments where you wouldn't normally be stressed.
